Terms of Service
Effective Date: March 18, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the EasyTab mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App") operated by EasyTab ("we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use EasyTab.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use EasyTab. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
2. Account Registration
To use EasyTab, you must create an account by providing your name, email address, and phone number. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately at support@easytab.app if you suspect unauthorized use of your account
For your security, accounts will be temporarily locked for 30 minutes after 5 consecutive failed login attempts. Accounts unlock automatically after this period. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@easytab.app.
We reserve the right to refuse registration or cancel accounts at our discretion.
3. Description of Services
EasyTab is a bill and tab splitting application that allows users to:
- Upload and scan receipts using Azure Document Intelligence to extract itemized data
- Split costs among users within the App
- Manage shared expenses and payment responsibilities
Features are subject to change. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the App at any time with or without notice.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
a. Subscription Plans
EasyTab offers an annual subscription plan that grants access to the App's full features. Subscription fees are charged at the beginning of each billing period and automatically renew on an annual basis unless cancelled before the renewal date.
b. Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing your payment information, you authorize EasyTab and Stripe to charge the applicable subscription fees to your payment method. You agree to Stripe's Terms of Service, available at stripe.com/legal.
c. No Refunds
All subscription fees are non-refundable. If you cancel your annual subscription at any time prior to the end of the current billing period, you will retain access to the App through the end of that paid period, but no refund, partial or otherwise, will be issued for the unused portion of your subscription.
d. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at support@easytab.app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with reasonable notice prior to your next renewal date.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use EasyTab only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the App for any fraudulent, unlawful, or unauthorized purpose
- Upload receipts or content that you do not have the right to share
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its servers, or related systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure, including through automated scraping, bots, or excessive API calls
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users of the App
- Circumvent any rate limiting, access controls, or security features of the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from the App
6. Receipt Data and Uploaded Content
When you upload a receipt to EasyTab, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services to you. You represent and warrant that you have the right to upload any content you submit.
Receipt images are stored using Microsoft Azure Blob Storage. Structured data extracted from receipts — including merchant name, date, subtotal, tax, tip, total, and line items — is stored in EasyTab's database. You acknowledge and consent to this processing as part of using the App's core functionality.
7. Enforcement and Termination
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to take any of the following actions if we determine that you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to other users or to EasyTab:
- Temporarily suspend your account
- Permanently terminate your account
- Remove any content you have submitted to the App
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to software, text, graphics, logos, and design — are the exclusive property of EasyTab or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or commercially exploit any portion of the App without our prior written consent.
9. Third-Party Services
EasyTab integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payment processing) and Microsoft Azure (receipt storage and data extraction). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. EasyTab is not responsible for the practices, availability, or conduct of any third-party service.
We may in the future offer optional linking of your Venmo profile for display purposes within the App. EasyTab will not process payments through Venmo. If and when this feature is introduced, additional terms may apply.
10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of receipt data extracted through Azure Document Intelligence. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all extracted information before relying on it for any financial purpose.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EASYTAB AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO EASYTAB IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
12. Dispute Resolution
We encourage you to contact us at support@easytab.app to resolve any concerns before pursuing formal action. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Illinois, and you hereby consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this document and, where changes are material, notify you via the App or by email. Your continued use of EasyTab after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App.
